McArthur River Mine (MRM) is one of the world's largest Zinc, Lead and Silver deposits and is the largest supplier of Bulk Concentrate to the world market. Currently, this world class ‘Here's Your Chance' deposit has a long 20 year mine life.

We are currently seeking a Safety & Compliance Training Coordinator to join our McArthur River Mine (MRM) operation Health & Safety team. You will be working in a team environment that shares knowledge and skills and have exposure to challenging work that will enhance your career development. As an entrusted key leader of our operation you will be required to ensure the successful delivery of the business plan as well support key stakeholders to guide our safety culture and Glencore values. With a team of four direct reports, you will have leadership experience, be able to communicate effectively and build good stakeholder relationships.

The successful applicant will report to the Health & Safety Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include:


Drive positive change and safety performance to lead and promote our Sentis safe work program and strive for Safety Citizenship to support Glencore values
Responsible for continuous development of a positive team culture in line with Glencore Health and Safety policies, compliance and relevant legislation including providing expert advice to line managers and the workforce
Responsible for providing visible leadership, and Ensure incidents are reported in accordance with internal Health and Safety management systems, legislative requirements and timelines


The successful candidate will have some of the following attributes (candidates that do not meet all of the below requirements may still be considered):


Tertiary Qualification, Degree or Diploma (e.g. OHS/WHS/HSE), First Aid Certificate, Auditing qualifications would be beneficial
Relevant work experience within the resources sector and mine production
Experience in safety training (mining related training)
Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
