Shape and align change for the IFRS17 change programme:
Leads the engagement and maintaining network with stakeholders to understand and challenge business objectives of the IFRS17 programme. These will be both within Insurance Finance, Group Finance and elsewhere to ensure visibility and transparency of the IFRS17 design and decision making to all key stakeholders
Co-ordinating the design activity of the other architects and where applicable, business analysts across the IFRS17 programme by presenting a coherent case for the proposed change and map the impacts of planned change along with change impacts, change options and design documentation.
Solve design issues and challenges: Works within assigned programme/project(s) to deliver project Business Solution Designs for portfolio projects/programmes that are in line with the agreed Target Operating Model (TOM) and address scope or design issues, identifying key design decisions and progressing them to resolution.
Brings an awareness of emerging technology and business trends within the marketplace
Has the proven ability to provide executive insight: Engages with key stakeholders on the programme/project to influence the proposition development to meet LBG and Insurance Finance business goals, scope, strategy and the target operating model requirements
Be able to provide transparency around how IFRS17 fits in with the wider Finance operating model
Design Governance Forum
Responsible for the establishment of an Insurance Finance data governance forum responsible for managing, governing and providing challenge to the Insurance Finance data initiatives
Setting up of ToR, attendees, lines of escalation, etc.
Other
Ensures the maintenance of Business Architecture models, TOM, route map and other architectural assets such as process frameworks for IFRS17
Key Outcomes
Clear and transparent record of all key decisions both having been made to date in IFRS17 project and the governance that those decisions have been through
Clear plan on all future key design decision required to be made, timetable, high level resource assignment and required governance for each
Initial definition of TOM/Operating Model Impact Assessment design documentation
Fully informed and engaged stakeholders, including senior stakeholders with Group Finance, IT and Transformation functional areas
Ensuring alignment to Group initiatives or clear articulation of transition states demonstrating alignment and gaining buy-in from Group and IF senior stakeholders
Background/Experience:
- Understanding of underlying actuarial accounting systems
- Not a BA - Can't stress this enough
- Done and architectural role in past
- IT/business architect experience
- IFRS17 experience ideal
- Actuarial knowledge - how to manage and model actuarial liabilities
- Understanding of finance data
- FS experience
- Worked at an insurance company previously (or other like for like life insurers)
