Currently, this world class ‘Here's Your Chance' deposit has a long 20 year mine life. We are seeking a qualified and experienced mining professional to join our McArthur River Mine operation as a Superintendent, Mine Production on a FIFO roster (9 days on, 5 days off). As an entrusted key leader of our operation you will be required to ensure the successful delivery of the business plan as well support key stakeholders to guild our safety culture and Glencore Values. Maintaining a large workforce you will have substantial experience with managing, effectively communicating and encouraging pertinent stakeholders. Reporting to the Mine Manager, key responsibilities include (not limited to); Drive positive change and safety performance to lead and promote our Sentis safe work program and strive for Citizenship to support Glencore valuesContinuous improvement fostering Mine methodologies to meet Business KPI's Communicate effectively by leading and influencing a multi-disciplinary team and encourage employee capability developmentEstablishing a culture to support strategic objectives and key stakeholders Successful delivery of strategic development, people leadership and business plan for the operation Manage compliance of environmental performance and impact To secure this role you will required to have;Tertiary Qualification, Degree or Diploma (e.g. mining engineering, management)Relevant work experience within the resource sector and mine production Strong technical and leadership abilityDemonstrate operational strategic planning and development to deliver business outcomes Ability to liaise and negotiate with various stakeholders The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package inclusive of 13% Superannuation, a generous incentive scheme, and relocation assistance on an attractive FIFO roster (9 days on, 5 days off).
