Responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and to ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Managing the Accounts Payable function
• Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Management of the P&L and Balance sheet to the prepared stage to pass to the ‘Head of Finance’
• Cost centre reporting and communicating this to channels/segments
• UK P&L analysis against forecast and variances
• T&E reporting, tracking and communication
• Cost and Purchase controls and process
• Monthly Balance Sheet preparation, reconciliation and posting (Prepayments/Fixed Assets/Accruals)
• Reporting and liaison with HMRC regarding VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales
• VAT returns quarterly (4 countries)
• Customer rebate calculations and liaison with the customers
• Cost Forecasting
• Supplier payment run responsibility and sign off
• Liaison with the bank
• Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data

KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Demonstrable accounting/finance experience gained in a similar role
• Relevant experience in a commercial role/environment preferable
• Strong and proven ability to communicate effectively
• Previous exposure to audit
• Strong analytical ability
• Demonstrable Excel to include pivot tables, VLOOKUP, graphs/tables, filters and sorting
• Team player
• Work well under pressure adhering to strict deadlines
• ERP system/IT Skills and Advanced Excel
• Analytical approach
• Good communication and organisational skills

Salary dependant on experience with excellent benefits package. Hours 09.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday.
