Financial Accountant An exciting Officer level opportunity as a Financial Accountant is available for a talented individual to work in the clients CFO area. Working as part of the Finance team, which is currently made up of 10 finance professionals, the Financial Accountant role will focus on the corporate reporting and regulatory reporting for our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the month end close process, including P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, preparation and review of regulatory returns and contributing to ad-hoc projects. The successful candidate will also ensure that existing key processes and controls are adhered to and upgraded as appropriate. The candidate will be a qualified accountant with preferably some relevant industry experience. This role will involve regulatory reporting and will occasionally require work on balance statements so someone with relevant experience of this and month end close experience is desirable. As a Financial Accountant your main responsibilities will involve: The candidate will look after 3 entities, completing several tasks for each entity You will carry out regulatory reporting to provide to the Central Bank of Ireland for the first entity, who expects to grow by the year end. You will get the chance to work on several projects for this entity For the second entity you will be required to carry out corporate reporting and regulatory reporting tasks including months end close and tax tasks. Statistical reporting will also be required to submit to the Central Bank of Ireland Daily capital reporting is required for the third entity. As a new starter you will begin your role by carrying out this daily process and then begin to take on month end and quarterly reporting As a Financial Accountant your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Qualifications: Qualified Accountant with PQE experience desirable Skills: Experience of Financial Services is required including knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Previous experience of producing regulatory returns is an advantage Adaptability, focus, determination and flexibility are all key skill requirements Good experience of complex systems, spreadsheets and databases Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy are essential Ability to work on own initiative in high pressurised environment and to tight deadlines Good verbal and written communication skills For more information about this role, please call +3531 5005915 or email on debbie.lau(at)cpl.ie
