Finance Manager - Wirral - £40-45K DOE

Our client is a hugely successful and market leadingManufacturing company based on the Wirral.They develop, manufacture and supply their products to a wide range of Industries and they are a cash rich company.

Due to company investment and expansion we are now looking to recruit a senior Finance Manager.This is a newly created position and will report directly to the MD.

To be considered for this role you will be CIMA qualified and have had prior experience of working in the Industrial sector.Ideally you have worked in a medium size company, and you are used to assisting the Board with all management reports.

You will also have a thorough understanding of SAGE and will be I.T literate.

In return, you will be offered a generous salary, 20 days plus Bank Holiday's, free parking and other potential benefits.

The hours of work are : Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:15am - 1:15pm

BRIEF JOB SUMMARY

The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will consist of the following:

  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts, including reconciling all control accounts
  • Assist auditors with preparing Annual Statutory Accounts
  • Manage the banking function and payments to creditors
  • Produce regulator reports such as VAT returns and other government statistical information
  • Support preparation of the annual budget
  • Prepare various financial reports required for the business and parent company
  • Provide analysis on key business projects
  • Manage internal controls to protect company assets
  • Support the product costing process

You will be responsible for all financial and fiscal aspects of the company’s operations. You will be able to provide leadership and coordination in business planning, accounting, budgeting and administration. You will also be able to ensure accurate accounting and management information is provided to satisfy internal Group and statutory deadlines.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Ideal Candidate:

  • CIMA qualified
  • Previous experience in preparing Monthly Management Accounts
  • Sound knowledge of Sage Accounting system
  • Good IT skills, possibly with experience ofimplementing or developing an IT system (not necessarily Sage)
  • Local to Wirral or willing to travel / relocate
  • Hold several years previous experience working within the manufacturing sector
  • Good product costing experience, including supporting customer tenders
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise workload and work to deadlines
  • Experience of leading a small team, skilled as a coach and mentor to support the professional and personal development of team members
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
