Mitchell Adam are proudly supporting a local practice in the West Midlands, who are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant in there Birmingham Office. This role is suited to a qualified candidate who is currently working in practice and is looking to progress their career and expand their role.
Key Duties:
Preparation of statutory accounts for Sole traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
Be able to prepare both corporate tax returns and personal tax returns
Experience processing transactions, prepare and post journals, update ledgers, complete bank reconciliations and cash books
Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax computations and year end accounting files all to a high standard.
Be comfortable with having face to face meetings with clients and having good rapport
Ideally you will:
Be ACA or ACCA qualified
Have a minimum of at least 2 years' experience working in a practice
Have gained technical accounting and tax skills including VAT, Corporation and Personal tax
Be highly organised and a clear communicator
Comfortable with SAGE 50 & High IT literacy and proficiency when using MS Office software and online tools
