As a Transaction Advisory Services professional, you'll work with the worlds largest organisations, fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the biggest and most complex cross-border engagements in the global market. In Ireland, you will join a growing team of about 100 professionals. You'll help those clients to make better and more informed decisions about how they manage capital and transactions in a changing world. That means advising businesses on how they preserve, optimise, raise and invest their capital to help them achieve their strategic objectives. What will I be doing? Typical activities will include the following Our Transaction Support team aims to assist clients throughout the entire transaction process, and works closely with other specialists both within TAS and other Service Lines. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of our work, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with strategic assessment, transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion processes. Based on understanding the key business drivers, you will Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact funding requirements and deal valuation Perform industry and company research utilising online tools and publicly available information Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring Prepare client deliverables including databook analysis, reports, presentations and discussion packs Assist in managing the input of other service lines to the assignment, gaining a good overall understanding of the key issues for the proposed transaction You will also help create a positive learning culture for junior team members and support their development. As part of your role in the wider team, you will play a role in other team initiatives such as account management and recruitment. This growing team will support you in building out your transaction advisory and commercial experience to lead a number of diverse and demanding assignments. Due to the variety of services we provide to our clients, the work requires a high level of adaptability, flexibility and innovation. You will have the opportunity to Lead teams within TAS as well as other Ernst & Young departments both in Ireland and internationally. Work closely with Assistant Directors, Directors or Partners ensuring assignments are executed in compliance with our policies and protocols. Understand our clients needs, co-develop our approach with the client, and provide value to our client through insights, factual conclusions and advice. Lead the day to day progression of assignments to include; planning, preparing and reviewing various forms of deliverables to include reports and presentations. Participate in business development initiatives. Actively establish, maintain and strengthen your internal and external relationships. What do we look for?
