Payroll Clerk, Co. Antrim

MCS Group is proud to be working with a growing accountancy practice in Co. Antrim to source a Payroll Clerk to join their team. This firm has been well recognised for their friendly staff and excellent service to clients. The business has experienced rapid growth in recent years through client referrals and takes great pride on the customer service they deliver. The Role: As a Payroll Clerk, you will be managing a large portfolio of weekly and monthly payrolls from clients of various trades and sizes. You will be ensuring submission deadlines are met, setting up new payrolls, maintaining benefits and pension information, and adhering to payroll policies and procedures. You will be in regular contact with clients, staff and HMRC obtaining information and dealing with queries throughout the payroll process. Due to the niche set-up of the firm, there will be a lot of learning involved to adapt to the high volume of client payrolls. The Person: You will be from an accountancy practice or payroll bureau background and have relevant experience managing the full payroll process for a large number of clients. You will have experience using relevant accounting packages such as Sage and Iris. You must be very organised and detail oriented with a willingness to adapt to a busy work environment. You will also ideally have experience with auto enrolment and have a strong understanding of payroll requirements and issues.
