Reporting to the Finance Controller (UK), this is an exciting Manufacturing finance analyst role to join a growing team Finance team and help drive cost management and improvement across Supply chain and Manufacturing within the technology and IT products arena

They are anticipating this growth will be a springboard for further investment and are expanding and aligning the Finance team to ensure the development of a world class finance function that can support and drive the growth and profitability of the business just North of Cambridge.

Description

The Manufacturing Finance Analyst roles main purpose will be to ensure the management of all aspects of inventory and royalty accounting including processes surrounding the accounting process such as stock takes, royalty contract monitoring and reporting and other costing duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Manufacturing & Supply Chain to reset standard costs periodically
  • Manage monthly inventory valuation and counts
  • Manage month end close process for all inventory and cost accounts, including deferred cost entry, internal usage, scrap, E&O and royalty accrual
  • Provide monthly inventory reports, highlighting areas of risk or opportunities for improvement inventory management
  • Create margin analysis reports by product line
  • Manage royalties, including working with Product Management and Legal to set and revise royalty rates, set up royalties at the SKU level, and process payments by contracted deadlines
  • Support the annual budgeting cycle with forecasted margin
  • Serve on ISO audit committee where applicable
  • Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis and/or expense savings
  • Special projects and other ad hoc analysis as assigned
  • Manage inventory levels, counts, changes, corrections etc
  • Preparation of grant claims
  • Document and update procedures
  • Profile

    The Ideal Manufacturing Finance Analyst would be a part qualified/ finalist accountant/ finance analyst from a manufacturing background and/or exposure to royalties in a biotechnology environment.

  • Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least 2-3 years' experience in industry or equivalent
  • Must have experience within a complex business example manufacturing
  • Knowledge of stock control
  • Excellent excel skills and attention to detail
