A specialist Chinese property investment and development business is seeking an experienced and fully ACCA qualified Mandarin-speaking accounting manager to join their very small Central London office.

SALARY: £50-70K, depending on experience

LOCATION: Central London, Mayfair

CORE DUTIES

• Ensuring all monies received and expended are accounted for correctly in accordance with regulations and current Government legislation
• Ensuring all transactions are reported in a timely fashion and in the agreed format for all companies set up in Europe
• Ensure the full preparation, production and review of the monthly management accounts for Head Office for all companies set up in Europe
• Produce, analysis and present the consolidated monthly management accounts for all companies set up in Europe
• Have detailed explanations for any positive/negative variances supported by action plans, ready for presentation and challenge from senior management
• Support with financial analysis to enhance revenue and control cost
• Updating and maintaining of the appropriate accounting systems and other databases in accordance with the instructions of management
• Issuing of demands and tax invoices in accordance with the agreed timetables
• Preparing completion statements, or providing information to others, in respect of outgoing properties
• Liaising with new purchasers or agents to ensure smooth handover of any outgoing properties
• Liaising with vendors or agents to ensure smooth take on of new instructions
• Reconciling, calculating and apportioning of year end service charges, monitoring outgoing costs and budgetary control if required
• Monitoring the audit of service charge accounts where external Auditors are used
• Other ad hoc duties appropriate to the role
• Liaising with managers and solicitors as appropriate

IDEALCANDIDATE

• Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
• ACCA fully qualified
• At least 5 to 8 years' UK working experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the property sector
• Advanced Excel skills; formulas, pivot tables and vlookups
• Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and have strong numeric/mathematical skills
• Chinese Company Experience
• Background in the property sector (strongly preferred, but not necessarily essential)
