Assistant Accountant Assistant Accountant - Part Qualified Accountant - Belfast City Centre - Public Sector - Temporary Contract Your new company Hays Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for a large Public Sector organisation based in Belfast for the appointment of a Part Qualified Accountant on a temporary contract. Our client are highly regarded in their sector for the services they provide, they now require a new Part Qualified Accountant to manage all aspects of operational finance within their busy finance department. Your new role In this Part Qualified Accountant job you will be reporting into the Chief Finance Officer you will be responsible for a variety of duties including; assisting in the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, monthly forecasting and variance analysis. Your duties will also include administration of all aspects of the payroll function, developing and implementing sound income protection systems, credit control policies and effective cost transformation strategies, assisting in year-end statutory accounts and to present accounts and any appropriate financial information to the Finance Officer whilst also managing a team. What you'll need to succeed To be successful you will need: -Part-Qualification with a professional accounting body -3 years' experience working in a busy finance environment -3 years' experience in the following; Purchase ledger, Sales ledger, Payroll & Management -Experience in management accounts, budgeting and forecasting -Experience using SAGE line 50 & Payroll accounting software What you'll get in return In return you will avail from working for a well-known public sector body in Belfast, mileage allowance, 37 days annual leave including bank holidays, company sick pay, flexitime and a competitive hourly rate.
