Description

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Validation of daily position for each European entity through analysis of various data.
  • Communication with Central Forecasting team, Central Procurement team and local entities whenever required to understand discrepancies in reported positions.
  • Ensuring that models/processes used are as accurate as possible and facilitate a timely delivery of data to the Procurement team.
  • Monitoring of daily exposure position and P&L and notification of large movements with justification to relevant managers.

  • Validating and reporting trades made between Procurement and Trading within the position
  • Validating and reporting trades made between Procurement and Customers/Consultants within the position as provided by the entities.

  • Participate in developing exposure models and improve operational tasks when required.
  • Assist in identifying improvement opportunities for methodologies or processes; conduct testing and impact assessment for efficient and controlled implementation.
  • Establishing a relationship with IT, raising faults or suggesting improvements to systems which will enhance the team's reporting.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing and manage the implementation of new data management systems where necessary.

  • Evaluating and explaining movement in exposure Profit & Loss on a daily basis.
  • Generate monthly reports for management such as release times performance and P&L movement drivers.

Profile

Successful Candidate:

  • Degree in a numerate/analytical discipline e.g. Economics, Statistics, Computer Science
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate technical arguments to non-technical audiences
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, in particular Excel and Access

  • Knowledge of SQL
