My client are a growing Services business based in the heart of Harpenden. They are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis to come in and run their accounts up to trial balance, whilst also improving processes and assisting with much more.

Client Details
My client are a Services business who offer bespoke solutions to businesses all over the UK. They have seen prominent growth year on year and are therefore seeking a new Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis and run this function for them. You will be part of a small and collaborative team and be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function whilst reporting into a hands on Finance Director who can offer training and advice.
They are ideally seeking a Part Qualified candidate who has experience of accounts up to trial balance who is looking to progress and make changes and improve processes. The company can offer you great growth and training and a competitive salary and benefits structure.
Description
- Reporting into a hands on Finance Director
- Overseeing the accounts function including Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger/Credit Control
- Raising sales invoices and matching and reconciling invoices to statements
- Ensuring efficient payments of invoices
- Credit control to minimise overdue sales invoices
- Bank Reconciliations
- Setting up new suppliers onto the system
- Running reports
- Journal posting, accruals and prepayments, P&L reporting
- Assisting with Statutory accounts
- Assist with budget and year end
- Expenses analysis, audit analysis
- Submitting VAT returns
- Ordering stationary when required
- Dealing with cheque payments, managing petty cash transactions
- Answering the phone if other staff members are busy
- Developing/improving systems and processes
Profile
- Ideally an AAT studier or ACCA or CIMA
- Live local to Harpenden
- Hard working team player who is keen to progress
- Someone who has experience of process improvements and who wants to make a difference in their new role
- Ideally proficient with Excel
- Happy to muck in and enjoys working in a smaller company environment
- Proficient with Sage Line 50 is an advantage
- The ability to multi task
