My client is a well established international car park solutions provider.  A rare opportunity currently exists for a finance manager within their Dublin office.  The holder of this position will be responsible for the Finance Function of Ireland.  The Financial Controller will Report directly to Managing Director and also to UK & Ireland Head of Finance.  To assure accurate and timely reporting of Financial Information on a monthly and ad hoc basis, this will include budgets and forecasts.  The Financial Controller will also assist in developing and improving business performance.  Technical Qualifications  • Newly Qualified Accountant  • Management experience preferred  • Excellent systems and Excel skills required (Pivot tables, V lookups desirable)  • Must have practical experience of compiling Financial Statements to IFRS.  • Experience of working in a similar structure - Multi national company reporting to a European Head Office desirable but not essential  • Experience of Microsoft Navision accounting package desirable but not essential.  • Good knowledge and practical experience in following:-:   Accounting (Local GAAP and IFRS) especially Revenue Recognition, Receivables, Lease Accounting, Finance Lease   Controlling (Financial and operational Controlling process)   Cash Management (Cash collection, debtor and creditor management, credit card transactions and fee negotiations)   Managing key relationships - Audit and Banking.  Personal Qualities  • Self-motivated, confident and proactive. Able to work with minimal supervision.  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both local Management and Corporate H/O.  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task workload, excellent problem-solving skills.  • Strong people management skills within diverse workforce (coaching, training, motivating, recruiting).  • Excellent analytical skills and astute commercial acumen.    Main Responsibilities  • Responsibility for the effective running of finance function, including management of the local accounts staff.  • To ensure that the Finance Function reports in a timely and accurate manner to Local management, UK and H/O in Germany.  • Compilation of Financial Statements under IFRS (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cashflow).With assistance from UK as required  • Liaise with local Auditors and Tax advisors regarding fulfilling Statutory obligations.  • Compilation of timely and accurate Monthly Management reports to MD  • Management of accurate and timely Treasury Reporting to European Head Office, with assistance of UK treasury  • Liaise with local operational/contract managers on finance matters.  • To control and drive improved performance of local Finance function.  • Continuous review of finance activities and procedures.  • Coordination and compilation of Annual Budgets and rolling Forecasts.  • Responsibility to ensure accurate recording of local payroll.  Secondary Responsibilities  • Liaise with UK IT to ensure Ireland requirements are met.  • Contract and Capex Submissions.  • Assistance during Contract negotiations (financial aspects of tender proposals).    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a diverse team of a multi-national company.
