Our Client

Our client is a leading international financial services business with interests in corporate & investment banking, commodities and global markets with AUM of over 1 trillion. They have an excellent market reputation and are known for being an employer of choice. Due to business growth, our client is looking to hire a senior and experienced corporate secretariat professional to act as Company Secretary for all their APAC entities at the Director level.

The Position

This position is a quite an exciting new role that will work closely with numerous internal stakeholders in helping the bank create and champion corporate governance initiatives within the Group.

The primary reason for the creation of this role is to act as Company Secretary for the group's APAC group entities across HK and SG and to also advise and assist on general corporate governance matters for the franchises across Asia reporting directly to the APAC Head of Legal.

The role will also have a significant focus on projects and administrative management alongside contributing as a member of the APAC legal team on a wide range of adhoc legal matters.

The Candidate

To be successful in the role, you will have to demonstrate the following:

  • More than 10 years of relevant experience as a named Company Secretary or Deputy Company Secretary within the financial services industry
  • More than 5 years of relevant industry experience within financial services
  • Qualified and experienced member of the Singapore Associate of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (SAICSA)
  • Legal qualifications and training would be advantage for this position
