Description
You will work with the partners on creating solutions for M&A transactions across a wide range of sectors including disposals, acquisitions, management buy-outs and fund raises.
Key responsibilities:
Business development
- Build and maintain relationships through networking with potential clients, advisers and intermediaries
- Prepare pitch documents and participate in pitch presentations with a range of clients
- Identification of new deal opportunities and the negotiation surrounding this.
Client transactions / projects
- Actively nurture client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Take responsibility for the day to day project management and delivery of M&A transactions through each stage of the transaction cycle to completion
- Effectively manage a portfolio of multiple transactions
- Analysis of financial, commercial and industry information to provide strategic advice to clients
- Identify potential deal risks and issues
- Financial analysis and modelling of transactions
- Co-ordinate communications between multiple stakeholders on each transaction, including vendors, buyers, management teams and advisers
- Preparation of project deliverable, including documents such as buyer/target/investor pools, information memoranda, business plans, client presentations and heads of agreement
- Participate in client presentations and meetings
Team development
- Manage and train junior members of the transaction and research team.
Profile
The candidate will be confident, personable and carry business gravitas. They will be able to negotiate with clients and have the ability to manage project teams by using their strong analysis skills and financial modelling capabilities. The candidate will be posses a bachelors degree along with a professional accountancy qualification ACCA/ACA or equivalent. Strong understanding of M&A transactions and experience working with mid-tier firms including private clients, corporates and private equity. The future corporate finance manager will be motivated to carve a successful career and one day become a partner. To be successful you must be business minded, deal driven and enjoy negotiating.
Job Offer
£45,000 + Strong individual & team bonus.
