Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Analyst to join the Commercial Team.
Supporting the Commercial department, you will be responsible for producing excellent management information to be used to grow existing business through increased sales, margin and risk management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Strong data manipulation skills
*
Strong understanding of SAS, SQL, Visual Basic (or anything similar) is desirable but other relevant statistical programming languages will be considered. Python/R knowledge would also be useful
*
An understanding of standard MS Office packages
*
Strong aptitude for learning and the ability to problem solve
*
Understand the pros and cons of different data tools and methodologies
*
Ability to grasp the significance and meaning of a range of technical and complex issues
*
Familiar with a range of different data analysis techniques
*
Good quality, numerical or computing degree and strong mathematical / logical capability
*
Demonstrate effective communications, ability to make technical concepts both accessible and interesting to non-technical people, and ability to collaborate on technical projects with peers.
*
Can demonstrate an organised approach to planning and prioritising own workload
*
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst maintaining reliability and accuracy
*
Understand the different approaches to managing yield, conversion and risk.
Hours & Benefits
Hours - Monday β Friday (9am β 5.30pm)
Annual leave - 20 days which increase with length of service
Contributory pension scheme - Employee contribution / Employer Contribution - 3% / 2%
