Senior Finance Officer

Working for a large growing business based in the West of Oxfordshire. The main responsibilities of the new Senior Finance Officer is to be solely responsible for the ledgers, incoming payments and their allocation.

Client Details

The client is a large national business with their headquarters based in Witney, West Oxfordshire. They are a well known brand who a lot of people will have come across in the past. This is a stand alone role that fits into a large finance function within their new and open plan offices.

Description

• Maintain the integrity, completeness and effectiveness of the ledgers, to include the raising of weekly charges, through the debit process.

• Complete daily bank downloads and allocate all cash receipts accordingly.

• Be responsible for all incoming cheques, their banking and allocation once cleared.

• Keep transactions on the suspense account to a minimum.

• Provide good customer service to all internal and external customers of the financial function, responding to queries and problems promptly. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with the members of our team.

• Identify instances where payments are less than the amount we expect.

• Understand the difference and pass that information to our team so that the underlying issue can be resolved.

• Acquire and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the systems.

• Assist with the development of systems to improve the processes of the section thus reduce costs and improve performance.

• Ensure that all transactions are processed on a timely basis and produce accurate reports on the detail of individual customer accounts and the total balances of what we are owed by our customers.

• Highlighting significant increases, decreases or variations from expected balances.

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Senior Finance Officer is a salary of circa £25,000 and £29,000 along with a healthy benefits package.
