Purpose of the Position: The Social Finance Executive / Officer plays a key role in helping community organisations to borrow on fair terms. Reporting: Position is accountable to the Head of Finance & Operations or any other person designated by the CEO. Key responsibilities include: Sourcing and assessing social investment opportunities; Monitoring, reviewing and overseeing the performance of projects from a social and financial perspective; Preparing and presenting social investment proposals and reports; Working with borrowers whose repayments are not in accordance with the original schedule and agreeing appropriate restructurings; The administration of Clann Credo Loan book. It also involves: Working with Clann Credo team to further the mission of Clann Credo; Appraising business ideas, plans and proposals and evaluating from both a social and financial perspective; Promoting Clann Credo through attending/speaking at conferences, seminars, workshops; Approving of Letters of Offer; Ensuring compliance prior to disbursal; Contributing to the realisation of the business plans of Clann Credo and the Irish Social Finance Centre; Any other duties that may be assigned by the CEO from time to time. Person Specification:   The Social Finance Officer will have a relevant third level degree (NFQ Level 8) or equivalent and should have a minimum of 2 years experience in the following areas: (a) New Business Development, (b) Financial Analysis and/or (c) Loan Book Monitoring. In addition, candidates will be required to demonstrate: Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; Capacity to analyse and report on financial statements, with sound recommendations; A good understanding of issues relating to poverty, equality and social inclusion; Excellent planning, organisation and administration skills, with strong attention to detail; Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Familiarity with working with a Database, experience using Salesforce would be an advantage. Permanent: This position is full-time and is based in our Dublin office, Clann Credo, Inchicore, Dublin 8. The position will demand travel throughout the Eastern region. On satisfactory completion of probation, the successful candidate will be offered permanency. Salary: This position offers a competitive salary.
