Newport office is based in the City Centre with parking available and consists of approximately 10 staff. This particular role is to replace someone who is moving to a role in tax in our Cardiff office which has been her passion throughout her training. We are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior or Semi-Senior to join the Newport Audit & Accounts team. The successful candidate will be qualified or part qualified or working towards a professional qualification and will have recent experience of working within practice. The individual will be joining our busy team providing our clients with excellent specialist knowledge.The role will include:
- Planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion work, along with general accounting compliance work
- Leading smaller / medium audit engagements, which will include planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits within the allocated time
- Developing audit programmes and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
- Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards
- Regular travel and time working at client’s premises; a willingness to travel and access to a car is essential
- The need to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines set
- Dealing with clients at various levels
- Preparing accounts from incomplete records
