About the opportunity
WesTrac is currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Paint Shop department at our Newcastle Branch.
The successful applicant will lead a dedicated team focusing on customer satisfaction, flat rate times, technician productivity, efficiency, safety, workshop housekeeping and job quality. You will have strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating the team's activities to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and best practice standards, ensuring all company, quality assurance and legal requirements are adhered to
Coordinating preparation and painting on a range of Caterpillar equipment and components
Promote and maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment
What we're looking for
As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:
Trade Certificate Spray Painting (Automotive Preferred but not essential)
Leadership experience with the ability to build a cohesive team with a common goal
Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and organise work teams
Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
Supportive and “can do” attitude
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
You will have a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience working in high performing teams and have a methodical approach to problem solving.
