Sewell Wallis are currently working with a leading business in the York area, the new Group Financial Controller is looking for a bright Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.

The role is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to develop quickly as the company have plans for major investment next year, the role will help you gain solid all round finance knowledge and give you exposure to the month end process.

Along with ongoing development and training you will receive study support with this position.

Duties;

*Assist with month end procedures and cut off, journal preparation and posting, cash allocation
*Provide support to Regional Finance Team
*Provision of daily cash reconciliations Head Office team
*Weekly sales reporting to Group
*Update and monitor weekly cashflow forecast.
*House sales reservation fees cash allocation and posting
*Prepare house sales completion statements and postings for FSSC
*Providing information for regional business units upon request
*Liaise with commercial teams to obtain up to date project cashflow information
*Ad-hoc duties for management.

Individual:

*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (key)
*Computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages (key)
*Working as part of a team to deliver objectives of the department and company as a whole.
*Enthusiastic and committed
*Good organiser with time management skills
*Proactive style, good administration and problem solving
