Accounts Assistant - maternity leave cover (up to 12 month contract)
Ground Control is the UK’s leading grounds maintenance and landscaping company.
Due to maternity leave we have a great opportunity for an eager Accounts Assistant, who is looking for a new challenge on a contract basis (up to 12 months). This is a busy and varied role that will touch on many aspects of accounts and administration across the following areas;
Reporting - you’ll run weekly and monthly reports from our Finance systems using advanced Excel
Processing - there will be sales invoices that need raising as well as processing of CoS journals and timesheets
Management Accounts - you’ll identify, investigate, correct and then feedback on any miscoding as well as preparing various month end journals
Reconciliations - you’ll cover bank and some balance sheet reconciliations ensuring you reconcile between our accounts system and the client system
This role is perfect for an existing Accounts Assistant who is ready for a fast paced varied new role. We would also consider a recent graduate who has gained some relevant work experience.
You will need an absolute passion for your work and always want to deliver above and beyond what is expected of you. Superb attention to detail is essential as well as being confident with prioritisation.
We’ll train you on our in-house systems but we are looking for you to display a strong systems focus and be highly proficient especially in Excel. Above you should love data and thrive on a role that focuses on this!
