Description
Leading financial services software group looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join at a very exciting time. Due to growth and an ever-growing client base, this role is to join a fast-paced delivery team and be responsible for building highly configurable automated solutions for some of the UK's largest financial services markets.
The ideal candidate will need to have at least 4 years financial services experience and be proficient in BDD, Gherkin notation and Application modelling tools (UML)..
Key Responsibilities
* Work with customers to understand their requirements, and help to translate them into formal software change documents
* Work with Product Owner(s) and Project Manager(s) to formalise functional requirements
* Work with development and testing team(s) to help ensure functional changes meet business needs
* Work with stakeholders to "shape" future development projects
* Produce a wide range of project documentation including business requirements and functional specifications
Essential skills
* Degree educated in a technical subject
* Minimum 4 years of Business Analysis experience in the Financial Services and software industries, ideally with knowledge of Investments / Pensions / Savings
* Solid background in Agile software development and design principles
* Expert in "discovering" customer requirements
* Ability to organise workloads, prioritise and meet deadlines
* Proven track-record as a quality technical writer
* Ability to translate business requirements into user stories
* Efficient and effective cross-discipline communication skills – someone who can talk to a user one minute, then a developer, or actuary the next
* Comfortable providing training and mentoring, either one-on-one or in groups
Desirable skills
* Detailed knowledge of the API/ Investments / Pensions / Savings industry
* Application modelling tools (UML, EA)
* Experience documenting requirements using Gherkin notation
* Experienced user of requirements management, test and release planning tools (preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Server)
* Relevant BA qualification / accreditation
