Basic Qualifications and Experience
- Part qualified accountant - studying for an accounting qualification
- Accounting work experience
- Strong Computer Skills including Excel Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Accountancy qualifications (part qualified)
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the FS R2R Global Tower, reporting to the Global Project Lead IFRS 16, supporting all aspects of lease data gathering & consolidation
The company's IFRS 16 project has got 3 key set of deliverables:
- Gather and validate lease data
- Find the leases, including embedded leases (CMO - manufacturing line dedicated to the company, R&D)
- Extract the data quickly & efficiently, including info required for Accounting, Treasury & Taxes (RFT)
- Efficiently address new lease accounting requirements - Agree transition methodology, Provide initial restatement Initial calculation
- Understand potential impacts (BS, Profit, Treasury, Tax)
- Confirm accounting treatment, including judgemental matters & use of exemptions
- Gain lease accounting control & deliver financial reporting confidently - Implement organisation, systems & process to support the new reporting requirement post initial compliance
Key responsibilities:
- Support the initial data gathering process, reconciling data received to existing data base and reports, identifying gaps and following up for additional information with contract owners
- Support the embedded lease data collation process, building trackers as necessary, following up on identified data gaps to closure
- Post agreement on transition methodology and confirmation of data requirements, review information already collated, identifying and following up on gaps to have a full data load ready for system deployment
- Co-ordinate with 3rd party or internal resources drawn into data collation as required
