Personal Tax Assistant, Oxford

This multi-office Oxfordshire firm are recruiting a Personal Tax Trainee or Semi Senior to support the tax team in Oxford. The firm can offer excellent prospects and support personal development and are offering a good benefits package and competitive pension scheme.

You will prepare personal tax returns for individual clients, which could include employment, dividends, land & property, partnerships and capital gains taxes. You will also deal with client queries and liaise with third parties such as HM Revenue & Customs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and file personal tax returns. Analysing records provided and advising clients of tax saving opportunities identified
Preparation of simple income/expenditure accounts to include within personal tax returns
Handle enquiries from clients and third parties, relating to personal taxes
Dealing with a range of client queries in relation to their personal taxes
Assist the tax consultant with more complex enquiries
Undertake such other duties that may be considered reasonable by the Directors, Accounts Manager and the post holder
