A Corporate accounting function within the city of London with a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual looking for a career within accountancy.
The team is responsible for preparing the accounts of the company and three other group companies and reports to its US parent on a monthly basis.
This role will be a junior/trainee accountant reporting on a day to day basis to the unit manager. The candidate will obtain a full understanding of a finance function in an industry as well as great exposure to the sector from the training provided.
They are offering study support; this is a fantastic opportunity for progression for recently finished A level candidates.
Maintaining the purchase ledgers which includes:
-invoicing coding and posting invoices
-posting payments to the ledger
Maintaining sales ledgers which includes:
-Raising, posting and coding invoices
-Posting receipts to the ledger
Other duties include:
Maintaining cashbooks, bank reconciliations, preparing and posting ad hoc journals such as expense accruals and prepayments
Maintain the ledgers of recoverable expenses
Eventually look after an European entity with a full cycle
Liaising with both internal and external auditors
Ad hoc office duties such as supplier calls and filing etc.
A college (A-level/similar) leaver who is keen to start their career in accounting and finance.
