Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with an established independent firm in Peterborough who are seeking to recruit a senior bookkeeper to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience of undertaking bookkeeping work and preparation of VAT returns within a practice environment and may be AAT qualified / part qualified. The ideal candidate will be technically strong with excellent Xero experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Carrying out Xero training for internal and external audiences
Implementation and backfill projects on Xero & Receipt Bank
Provide on-going Xero support to internal and external clients
Identify Xero add ons to assist clients with their business and accounting processes
Coordinate and oversee monthly bookkeeping and preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Preparation of management information for clients & internal managers
Discussions with clients on management information and identifying areas for improvement
Bank reconciliations
Preparation of VAT returns
Preparation of accounts for managers to review

Skills:

AAT Qualified / Qualified or Qualified by Experience
Good knowledge of Xero
3 years’ experience of working in practice is essential
