Description

The role provides Head Office support to the European sites, taking the lead on projects such as with acquisitions, integration, standardisation, costing. You will partner with the procurement team and mentor the purchasing team to support and ensure their effectiveness. Produce the monthly financial review pack, write reports to the CFO, work with and challenge the Finance Managers of the European sites, build relationships and work with all levels, from shop floor to Senior Management. Influencing skills will be key for this part of the role, being more than 50% business partnering, and you will be expected to be willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in at all levels when managing projects and driving improvements. This means there will be sporadic travel to the sites where needed, and particularly when you first start, it may be up to 50% travel; you will be flown back for the weekends if you are needed for consecutive weeks. This is a broad role, with scope for development and progression. You will get exposure to lots of different businesses through acquisitions, good visibility of the business as a whole, and be in a position to really have an impact and add value.

Profile

This Corporate Accountant position will suit a technically astute individual who is keen to learn in a high responsibility role. To maximise success, the ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Have a strong ability to communicate at all levels, to finance and non-finance persons

• Be capable working well under pressure

• Have a proven ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines

Manufacturing sector experience, or have audited manufacturing businesses

Job Offer

£55,000 - 60,000 + 10% car + 10% bonus + PHC
