Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a not for profit organisation based in Central Cambridge, are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is available on a part time or a full time basis.

Duties to include but are not limited to:
• Accurately record and post accrual and prepayment journals, fixed asset management, Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Ensure that budgets are in place for every programme, compare them to actual and investigate discrepancies
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Preparing reports for various stakeholders
• Faculty payment management
• Effective and efficient use of Microsoft Dynamics NAV to ensure all accounting entries are accurate and complete
• Maximising the automation of accounting transactions using the integrated BMS and data handling in excel
• Supporting non finance staff with queries and information
• Supporting the Finance Administrator and Purchase Ledger Administrator
• Ensuring written procedures are in place and adhered to for payroll operation
• Supporting Managers with budgets, invoicing, expenses etc
