Accountant (Part-time)

Are you an Accountant looking for a part-time role within practice? Curtis Recruitment is seeking an Accountant (Part-time) to work for a friendly, boutique accountancy practice based in Wokingham.

Covering a range of duties, you will ideally work 2-3 days per week, (15-20 hours) and hours could be flexible to suit. For example, this could be five, half days per week and could accommodate term time only if preferred.

Our client would prefer this position to be self-employed, however, PAYE is an option because they are aware that self-employment doesn’t suit everyone.

As Accountant (Part-time) within this niche practice, your responsibilities will include:

• Accounts preparation for small business and sole-traders
• Self-assessment
• Corporation tax
• Personal tax
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Accounts to trial balance

To be considered for this Accountant (Part-time) position, you will satisfy the following requirements:

• Be experienced in the responsibilities listed above
• Be ACA or ACCA qualified
• Have previous experience within a practice environment
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be flexible in your approach, self-motivated and diligent
• Experience of accountancy packages such as Sage, Xero, IRIS and Excel would be beneficial
