Assistant Accountant
Stroud
£25K - £35K
My client specialises in manufacturing highly bespoke fabrications produced in their newly expanded facility in Stroud, Gloucestershire. They specialise in producing installations throughout the UK & the World. In their 30 years history they have added a whole range of skills to complement their core activity. They are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to work in their Finance Department.
The role requires a part qualified Accountant to assist a small finance team in a fast moving artistic environment:
the preparation of monthly management accounts (4 business units)
Cost control and analysis.
Preparing reports, budgets, cashflows, commentaries and financial statements.
Undertaking financial administration and internal audits
Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues.
Some data entry and analysis
• Salary – 27 – 35K per annum paid in equal monthly instalments in arrears by BACS on the last working day of the month.
• 3 and 6 month probationary meetings.
• Hours - The position is full time, 8am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch (40 Hour week)
• Holidays - 30 days inclusive of Bank Holidays broken down into:-
8 Paid Bank Holidays
5 paid during our summer shutdown (last week in July/first week in August)
5 days paid during our Christmas shutdown (between Christmas and New Year)
12 days floating to be taken at a mutually convenient time.
Qualities:-
Numerate, personable, adaptable, calm approach, proactive, good judgment, fast thinker, methodical, able to work under pressure, excellent planning/organisational skills, confident and effective communicator, computer Literate, flexibility, team player.
Must part-qualified/qualified with ATCA, CIMA, AAT, ACA or ACCA
