An outstanding opportunity to join one of the county's most outstanding financial services firms with a national presence, a business that offer opportunity to learn and progress.

My clients are a well-established and reputable IFA practice who currently have a fantastic opportunity to join them as a Protection Administrator in their Norwich Offices.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9:00 - 5.00 pm (but can be flexible to suit the candidate).

25 days holiday per year as well as other excellent benefits inckluding a very competitive staff pension.

Salary £19,000 - £23,000 depending on experienced.

The successful candidate would ideally have some experience of working in an IFA practice but candidates with a good knowledge of protection equally desirable e.g. Group Risk, Private Medical Insurance, Key Man, Life cover etc.

CII/IFA industry qualifications would be desirable.

The Role
You will provide market leading administrative and compliance support to Directors/ Consultants and external clientele, including market research, report production, client liaison, analytic data and calculations.

You will ensure all administration is undertaken to the highest standards and conducted in accordance with the requirements of the FCA and the firm’s procedures and precedents, (including in particular its procedures for Compliance, Training and Competence, Combating Money Laundering, the handling of Complaints and Treating Customers Fairly)

Key Responsibilities
Adhering to company internal processing and administration procedures
Maintaining systems
Ensuring compliance is kept-up-to date, for our active client base
Working alongside the Consultants/Directors to give them the best support
Producing draft recommendation reports to the highest standards
Ensuring recommendations do not result in tax liabilities.
Managing and prioritising workload
Pre-completing instruction forms
Valuations
Market Research
You will be required to ensure all communications with clients, including correspondence, meetings and telephone calls, are dealt with within the service standards.
To ensure that the client files/records are maintained to a high standard.

you will be required to use Information Technology where required, knowledge of the following applications would be of extreme advantage...
- IRESS
- Watermark
- Analytics
- Dynamic Planner
- Microsoft Office
- Exchange

The Individual

Development
You will work towards a level 4 CII qualification such as RO1-RO6 or the IFS (DipIFA).
You will be required to keep abreast of the development of the firm’s IT and other systems.
You will attend such internal and external courses and to prepare for and sit such exams as it may be agreed are appropriate to ensure the on-going competence and development of the individual.


Other responsibilities
You will be required to attend client meetings with the Consultants/Directors so as to build a rapport with your client base.
You will participate in ad-hoc assignments.
You will provide resource to other team members as and when work volume dictates.
You may be required to travel to and work from other offices when required.
You will take an active role in departmental meetings and look to improve existing processes.
You must treat sensitive information with confidentiality.
