Sewell Wallis are currently working with a unique and rapidly growing business based in York. They are currently looking for a Management Accountant who will adapt to a fast paced and ever-changing environment due to the increased growth in new acquired business over the last few years.
They would like a Management Accountant who has substantial experience within a similar role and can demonstrate that they can build relationships effectively within a large and successful firm, who are recognised across the UK.
The key responsibilities for the role will include:
The preparation of monthly management accounts including the creation and posting of journals.
Creation, maintenance and posting of accruals, prepayments.
Reconciling inter-company transactions.
Payroll analysis, creation and posting of journals.
Maintaining existing balance sheet reconciliations to cover fixed assets, current assets and current liabilities with back up documentation for review.
Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, raising depreciation journals and posting.
Producing monthly Profit & Loss variance analysis to forecast for line manager review.
Monthly VAT validation, quarterly returns and reconciliations.
Setting up and maintaining branch accounting within Practices.
Preparation of the aged debtor report.
The ideal candidate will:
Have at least 3-4 years experience in a similar role, in particular strong balance sheet reconciliations knowledge.
Proven experience building/maintaining key relationships within the business both internal and external.
Strong Excel skills.
Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced role (prior knowledge of working in a similar role would be desirable)
