McWilliam Park Hotel Mayo are currently recruiting for both a Part Time and Full-Time experienced Hotel Accommodation Assistants to join the team. The Hotel The 4 Star McWilliam Park Hotel is located in the town of Claremorris in the heart of the West, half way between Galway and Sligo. The hotel consists of 103 beautifully decorated bedrooms, 4 meeting rooms plus the McWilliam Suite which can cater up to 600 delegates. The leisure centre at the hotel includes a gym, 18m indoor pool, Sauna, Steam room and Jacuzzi. Using fine local produce, John Gray's Restaurant serves a creative menu with a wide range of cuisine. Kavanagh's Bar and Lounge features live entertainment and provides a range of hearty dishes and drinks. The Role Reporting to the hotel's Accommodation Manager, you will be a professional and polished individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will have at least 1 years hotel accommodation experience. You will demonstrate excellent customer service as well as the initiative required to multi task in this busy environment.  Responsibilities will include:  To greet guests in a warm, friendly manner. Cleaning of all Bedrooms, Corridors and Public Areas. Dusting, Vacuuming, and Waste Recycling. Carry out Room Service requirements requests. Ensure compliance in Accommodation Department of Environmental Directive and Management Instruction. Keep storage areas and carts well stocked, clean and tidy . Collect comment cards daily and give to reception . Polish silver accessories and metal work such as fixtures and fittings Ensure presentation of Duty in Uniform & Ability to work and Personal Hygiene Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage and found articles to reception daily Replenish supplies as required by the guests and as outlined by the Accommodation Manager Report any maintenance issues to the Accommodation Manager and Maintenance Attend training weekly under the supervision of the Accommodation Supervisor & HR Manager Supervision of quality maintenance & Pest Control Service of Food and Beverage and presentation of Buffets To promote and sell the Hotel's facilities at all times To deal with any guest complaints, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently. To adhere to all Company policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety,  etc Effective communication with other employees to ensure the day to day business runs smoothly  The ideal candidate for this position: Must have previous experience in a similar role in a hotel Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service Must be a team player with the ability to multi task Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industry Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Communicate fluently in English (written & oral).  We are recruiting for both part time and full time position, the role involving shift work (weekend work also will be involved) If you are interested in applying for this position, please forward your CV and cover letter, in confidence throught this website.
