Trainee Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE: Working closely with the small Finance Team, the Trainee Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of duties, including: Assisting with the preparation of client accounts (management accounts, sole trader accounts, year-end accounts, etc.); Assisting in the audit of small and medium sized clients; Liaising directly with clients; Working closely with Partners in client engagement activities, and identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients, and; Assisting with ad-hoc projects as they arise. "We are a small team, but we are growing due to our client demands. We want to bring in someone who has practice experience, but wants to grow this in a more hands on environment. This role offers the best of both worlds - on-the-ground audit exposure, and also the opportunity to get hands-on accounts prep experience. Our clients work across various industries, and this role will gain broad exposure." - Partner ABOUT THE PERSON: Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA, with minimum 1+ years' practice experience; Excellent Excel knowledge essential; An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and; Strong communication skills essential.
