We currently provide housing for 700+ vulnerable people spread across the North of England and aim to grow our support to 2000+ people within the next 12 months
We’re currently looking for a Finance Manager to help with our company growth. Reporting to the Director of Finance this is a hands on role and the ideal candidate will be expected to be involved in all operational aspects of the finance department.
Job Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all finance and accounting processes ;
- Balance sheet reconciliations;
- Consistent production of the monthly management accounts within the month end deadlines ensuring that full monthly management information is included;
- Cash flow monitoring;
- Preparation of weekly cash flow report;
- Ensure smooth running of the day to day accounting processes against set KPI’s;
- Preparation of the year-end audit files and statutory accounts in line with relevant legislation (FRS 102, SORP);
- Oversight of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring that targets are achieved;
- Business planning and modelling to include live business data, performing the required analysis to support understanding of multiple aspects of business performance across a number of business platforms;
- Measure financial policies and procedures against actual performance;
- Contribute to overall goals of the Finance Function through active participation in team and departmental meetings, and supporting internal initiatives;
- Oversight of the monthly payroll process;
- Daily line management of the finance team;
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts;
Experience/Skills Required
- Part Qualified in a relevant accountancy qualification is desirable, however significant experience of working in a senior finance role is essential;
- Experience of line management within a finance department;
- Ability to work in a fast paced finance function with a determination to review and streamline processes and procedures;
- Possess strong commercial insight;
- Be well organised and able to handle multiple projects within tight timelines;
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment with an appetite for a challenge;
- Hold technical knowledge on Charity SORP and FRS 102/UK GAAP
