Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Account Handler / Broker. This is a full-time permanent role, located in Edinburgh. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm. Salary is around £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Our successful and driven client is seeking an Insurance Account Handler to join them.
You will work very closely within their schemes team who will support and nurture you. You will have direct contact with their clients as well as dealing with the administration, processing and servicing of their policies as required. This is an ideal position for someone with great customer service skills and/or a personal lines insurance background.
To be successful and make this role your own; you will have experience of working with clients and colleagues; demonstrate excellent customer service; great telephone skills and an ability to work in a dynamic environment.
General Responsibilities & Duties:
* You will focus entirely on the support needs of your clients. This is why you will be a first class communicator and have the customer needs at the centre of your actions.
* The role will mean creating renewals documents, handling mid-term adjustments and also designing new quotes for customers. Strong administration skills will show us your true potential.
* A key part of your role is to ensure all client details are recorded accurately and entered onto Acturis quickly; this allows us to keep all client records accurate for audit purposes.
* You should really adopt organisational excellence within the workplace, as your role will be about ensuring cover is in place to meet your client needs. This will allow you to demonstrate your extraordinary time keeping ability and your practical approach to multi-tasking.
* Day to day you will assist your clients with their queries relating to existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies. Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required. Follow up on new and existing renewal business quotations and lend support to others in the team.
* You will handle account queries and credit control matters highlighting any concerns to account managers on time - Prepare Invoices, Registers and other documentations.
* Understand and apply legal and regulatory policies as required, whilst aligning with the Professional Standards Manual.
Experience, Skills, Attributes Required:
* Insurance experience is desirable
* A high level of customer service experience
* Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA’s; validated experience within support role would be an advantage.
* We're looking for you to be able to evidence rapport-building experience along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and to have strong customer service focus.
* Are you risk aware in handling customer information? Are you able to identify potential risk/issues and seek advice/consultation when required by using due diligence? Do you have strong planning and analytical skills along with accuracy and attention to detail?
* Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification is desirable
* Eligible to work in the UK
