Valuing flexibility, transparency and integrity in everything we do, and we are currently looking for an AIM Investment Manager to join us in Gloucester, becoming part of a company that is wanting to create value for clients as well as enabling both our customers and our people to thrive.
Following the rapid growth of our IHT-focused AIM portfolios, we are looking to recruit to continue the successful management of our existing portfolios and drive continued growth of our assets under management.
As the AIM Investment Manager your duties will include:
- Processing and signing off applications and dealing funds for direct investors into the appropriate model portfolios.
- Managing and maintaining portfolio models on platforms and base portfolio models.
- Maintaining and implementing a rebalancing policy across the portfolios, including executing manual rebalancing for direct investors.
- Monitoring corporate actions and taking appropriate action, including liaising with our advisors, rebalancing, or managing investor expectations via Business Development Managers, as necessary.
- Troubleshooting platform issues and managing relationships with platform providers.
- Liaising with advisors to determine potential suitability of new additions to the model portfolios and ongoing suitability of existing holdings, with a particular view to the expected eligibility for Business Relief for Inheritance Tax.
- Providing input to and maintaining some oversight of our full suite of AIM literature.
- Preparing commentary, statistics and analysis for various marketing and reporting literature.
To be a successful AIM Investment Manager, you will have the following skills and experiences:
- Hold a current Statement of Professional Standing from an accredited body, preferably CFA Society United Kingdom, but other accredited bodies will be considered.
- Hold suitable qualifications to undertake Activity Numbers ’14 and 10’ and ‘12’, as per the Appropriate Qualification tables of TC App 4.1 of the FCA Handbook.
- Have a degree or similar qualification in a numerate subject.
- Have experience in discretionary portfolio management, fund management or similar.
- Have a sound knowledge and understanding of public equity markets.
- Preferably have experience of dealing securities, ideally equities, in live markets.
- Have strong numerical and analytical skills with extensive Excel experience and the ability to adapt easily to new systems.
- Experience of the following applications/platforms or similar is an advantage. FIGARO Front Office Order Routing; Standard Life Discretionary Investment Management X-Hub; Transact.
In return, we will offer a Manager a salary of up to £40,000 Per Annum, a pension scheme, 25 days holiday, games/reading rooms for everyone to use and Pizza Fridays!
