Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Payroll Officer for their diverse client based in Cambridge.

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional who is immediately available for a 4 – 6 months Fixed Term Contract with the possibilities of extension. You should have a minimum of 3 years Payroll Experience and be able to work in Central Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities

* Working with the Group Payroll Manager to ensure the firms employees are paid accurately and on time using the ADP Freedom payroll system.
* Ensure all change data templates are completed correctly and sent to the Payroll provider for processing within agreed time table.
* Check and run the weekly timesheet reports directly from ADP Freedom ensuring weeks are in line with the payroll and all worked time has been authorised by the line manager.
* Manage the Payroll inbox for instructions for change to include new starters, leavers, changes of contract and other changes to pay.

Ensure statutory pay as processed by ADP is accurate and compliant

* Monitor payroll queries coming via the payroll inbox, resolve queries escalating any more complex ones to the Group Payroll Manager.
* Working with the Payroll Project Lead to define payroll elements, data cleansing ready for new system implementation and work actively with processing parallel runs.
* Manual calculations will be required
* Completion of earnings requests and any other request for information by HMRC or DWP.
* Assist the Group Payroll Manager with the accurate payment of salaries for employees overseas in 10 countries.
* Distribution of P45’s and keeping payroll records up to date
* Keep payroll tracker up to date with monthly metrics and RCA.
* Produce payroll reports at month end, in addition to ad hoc report requests within the wider business.

Person Specification

* Working as part of a small payroll team with multi-site payrolls
* ADP Freedom (Desirable)
* Working to very tight deadlines
* Analytical and eye for detail
* Excellent excel skills
* Good communicator

Experience Required:- Payroll Administrator

* Essential
* 3 years + Payroll Experience

The Payroll Officer / Administrator is a Fixed Term Contract & will be for a period of 4 – 6 months with the possibility for extension. The Payroll Officer position will be based in Central Cambridge. Working Monday – Friday. The salary will be £28,000 PA + 25 Days holiday + bank holidays + other company benefits, Pro-Rata for the duration of the contract.
