Our client based in Guildford is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant - Credit Control.
The Role
The successful candidate will work within a finance team of nine, and will initially be involved with all aspects of credit control. They will report to the Credit Manager and there will be scope to broaden responsibilities over time.
The job will consist of the following tasks most of which will be required on a day to day basis:
· Recording and posting electronic receipts to the office account
· Chasing overdue accounts by means of letters, statements and telephone calls on a daily basis
· Reconciliation of payments when necessary
· Providing Finance support
· Assisting with ad-hoc analysis weekly cash reports and monthly debtor analysis
· Liaising with Debt Collection Agency
· Credit Checking
Qualifications and Experience:
You will ideally have experience within credit control.
You will be proficient in the use of Word and Excel and will be generally IT literate.
You must also have the following skills and attributes:
· Excellent interpersonal and ability to deal with all levels of employees
· Committed to excellent client service
· Highly numerate
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Effective organization & administration skills
· Ability to be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
