Corporate Consultant
Salary: £40,000 + bonuses + benefits + car allowance
Location: Glasgow

To provide the highest level of financial advisory services to prospective and existing Corporate clients of the business, in a compliant manner adhering to the FCA principles of "Treating Customers Fairly".

The key function of this role is client servicing. You will be establishing and further developing potential clients and opportunities with the firms existing clients as well as new client acquisition.

The Role:

• Provide a professional, high level of financial advice to meet client’s needs and objectives
• Proven experience and capability to deliver into the corporate and private wealth market
• Ability to identify private client opportunities through workplace advice to employees and executive planning
• You will create and implement a business plan in line with the corporate strategy to develop long term fee based advice
• Assume responsibility regarding major new client/services acquisition
• Develop a plan and work towards achieving individual and team based business targets as agreed

Key Accountabilities:

• The role has several key accountabilities, including:
• Identify business opportunities from new and existing clients
• Develop a business plan to generate a pipeline sufficient to meet business targets
• Proactively identify and engage in appropriate business generation activities
• Agree fees with clients and have an up to date agreement for all existing schemes
• Analyse the information gathered by matching clients’ needs and objectives in line with compliance standards and prevailing market conditions
• Produce appropriate recommendations in a timely manner
• Present recommendations to the client, utilising presentation and behavioral skills to gain commitment to proceed and obtain relevant documentation to do so
• Provide client service to your active client bank
• Arranging at least one annual service meeting per client with the key decision maker
• To maximise the business potential from Professional Introducer relationships
• To contact all leads supplied in an agreed timescale with line management and to provide feedback on all leads via agreed business processes
• Operate always in accordance with company and regulatory requirements and within the levels of authority defined by line management. Keep up to date with company practice, compliance manuals, the Training and Competence scheme and bulletins
• Maintain and ensure client files are kept up to date to ensure the audit trail of advice, service and transactions is maintained in full accordance with the Good Business Standards
• To construct Advice Reports ensuring all information is correct and that the content meets the businesses criteria
• To ensure the IT systems are used and information on them kept up to date to meet good business standards and line management requirements
• To undertake ongoing continuous professional development
• To continuously develop and maintain an up to date and in depth knowledge of market and legislative conditions to enable the highest standards of advice to be given and increase technical knowledge in specialist areas

Qualifications:

Level 4, Diploma Status and CF30

• Group Risk (DIS/GPHI/PMI);
• Legacy pension schemes;
• Platform development
• Up to date knowledge of market and legislative conditions
• Thorough understanding of the principles of Treating Customers Fairly
