Assistant Accountant

Becoming an Assistant Accountant with Capita Local Government:

A great opportunity to join one of our Accounts teams as an Assistant Accountant. The Assistant Accountant role will be based at Milton Park in Oxford on an initial 3 months contract.

What you will do:

• Review budget monitoring reports prior to issue and identify accruals required

• Investigate queries and post journals resulting from meetings

• Review and challenge HOS budget monitoring returns

• Review bank reconciliations prepared by Capita and investigate variances

• Produce and input journals for late bacs payments & from payroll reversal reports

• Update balance sheet tables for year-end reconciliations and review payroll debtors

Your experience will include:

• Ideally Local Government Accounts team experience
• Experience of liaising with non-financial managers
• Previous Outsourcing company experience
• Accounts team experience
• Treasury Management experience
• Familiarity with Agresso financial software
