Internal Process Accountant

My client is a successful Manufacturing organisation based in the West Lothian area. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced Internal Process Accountant.

Responsibilities will include:

* Upgrade and control quarterly SOX testing cycle. Co-ordinate timing of testing and work closely with Testers and Control owners to ensure completion of testing cycle within guidelines.
* Review completed SOX tests to ensure that audit and results comply with corporate requirements.
* Ensure department is up to date with any changes to SOX program and these changes are communicated through the organisation. Provide training for new employees and ensure existing employees maintain the correct level of understanding and knowledge
* Along with Senior/Department Managers, help promote the Importance of SOX Program through the Organisation.
* Work with Internal/External Auditors for Annual SOX Audit.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and experience:

* Educated to degree level within a relevant discipline
* Previous experience of working within an audit &/or process controls/compliance role.
* Knowledge of internal control systems and procedures i.e. SOX.
* Ability to perform complex numerical calculations, and complex management reports on a timely basis.
