An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well established Accountancy Practice based in Leeds City Centre.
The successful candidate will report to the Accountants of the practice assisting in maintaining a high standard of client relations and offering a comprehensive bookkeeping service.
Basic salary is negotiable dependant on experience and our client also offer an attractive incentive scheme.
JOB DESCRIPTION
·Preparation of VAT returns.
·Bank reconciliations.
·Maintaining sales ledger.
·Maintaining purchase ledger.
·Chasing clients for records and dealing requests for information.
·Reconciling payroll and HMRC control accounts.
·Other duties as required
PERSON SPECIFICATION
·A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience require.
·Understanding and knowledge of VAT.
·Proficient use of Accountancy software – Quickbooks and Quickfile would be an advantage
·Ability to work using own initiative with little supervision, showing good organisational skills.
·You will be able to work to deadlines and within limited response times.
·Good problem solver with attention to detail.
