Financial Controller/Finance Director Designate

Successful independently owned house builder in West Kent who design and build beautiful high end homes are looking for a Financial Controller/Finance Director Designate to support the Directors of this highly commercial business.

As this is a newly created role, it is a great opportunity for one to work with the senior leadership to identify and shape the reporting, costing, systems and processes for the creation of these stunning projects. In addition, the Financial Controller/Finance Director Designate will work closely with the banks, planning and contractors to ensure timely and on budget delivery.

Working with the main contractors, planning, banks, financiers this is a pivotal role that support the projects.

Duties likely to include;

• Providing management information and full statutory reporting
• Project accounting/WIP reporting
• Support costing and reviewing land bank/planning
• Tracking project timelines and reporting on units sold/available/completion
• Manage relationships with banks and financiers, ensuring draw downs in place and on time
• Overseeing checking of invoices from main contractor, overseeing payments at critical timelines

In addition to being formally qualified, it is expected the candidates will have strong commercial acumen as well as the gravitas/confidence in character to work with the senior leadership team and the professional stakeholders. This is a hands one role which will require getting into the detail as well as offering a very high level of financial management.
