SF Group are currently recruiting exclusively a Qualified Financial Accountant on behalf of a fantastic market leading organisation in Leicestershire. Our client is looking to secure a Qualified Financial Accountant on a contract basis for 12-18 Months.
Your responsibilities as the Financial Accountant are;
- Support Management Accountant with reconciliation of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support in management of the fixed asset register, rental and demonstration fleet and inventory ensuring all assets are approved, recorded and disposed of correctly
- Direct responsibility to ensure completion of all UK & Ireland companies statutory filings on time
- Direct responsibility to ensure completion of all UK & Ireland companies tax computations and tax returns
- With Human Resources and Line Manager - Ensure Payroll, Benefit and Pensions bookings are recorded and paid accurately
- Direct responsibility to complete VAT submissions and Intrastat reporting and review VAT processes
- Manage SOX testing
- Manage STIC, commissions and ad hoc bonus postings are made
- Ensure Legal documentation is stored centrally in the HCUE system and with TMF
- Support International Accounting Manager with reports & KPIs and reports for all entities (88 worldwide)
- Manage with external and internal audit teams and drive the UK & Ireland businesses to a strong audit rating
- Ensure accounting standards are reviewed to legal obligations
- Support with continuous improvement initiatives and help drive efficiency whilst ensuring compliance and installing automated controls where possible
Qualifications & Experience Required;
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance
- Qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW would be desirable
- Strong Audit background would be advantage
- IT literacy including all MS applications with good knowledge of Excel
- Inquisitive, Strong process and continuous improvement skills, Supportive, positive attitude and approach to work
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good PC and software skills; Microsoft products a must; JD Edwards or similar ERP system strongly preferred
