Scope of the Role: The Night Manager will report directly to the Deputy General Manager. You should be able to lead and motivate your team to deliver high standards of guest service and ensuring that the hotel functions profitably and safely at night. Operational Duties to Include: Greet and welcome guests to the Hotel. Check in and check out of guests and take payment for their accommodation, ensuring that all late arrivals are checked in correctly and promptly Manage all the lodgements and cashing up in the Bar, Restaurant or Function Room if needed. Responsible for the safety and security of guests in house - Record all accidents and incidents that may occur within the hotel. Responsible for the security, control and balancing of the float and cash for the day and assisting with the Night Audit To be available at all times to deal with guest queries and/or a complaints, personally monitoring guest satisfaction with regular reporting to the Deputy General Manager Ensure guests arriving at night are aware of facilities available etc. To ensure that the night cleaning staff are carrying out the duties allocated to them. Maintain the highest standards of personal appearance and hygiene, as well as ensuring that night staff are correctly and smartly dressed. To check all public areas, including conference rooms, to ensure they have been cleaned and serviced correctly Co-ordinate and complete the night roster and dealing with any staff absenteeism issues. To maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues, been able to motivate the night's team to ensure each member is achieving a high level of performance in their role. Ensure optimum occupancy and average room rate to achieve maximum revenue. Manage any bookouts in line with company policy Skills Required: · Excellent customer care skills. · Be able to work on your own initiative. · Excellent communications skills. · Be able to cope well under pressure. · Highly motivated · Good business acumen · Experience 3 years in a similar hotel management role essential · Opera & Micros experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and have excellent cleaning skills and attention to detail.
