Brilliant opportunity to join a leading Global Publishing Company in a truly commercial role. You will be responsible for building strong relationships across non-finance, financial analysis and driving business growth by looking at revenue and margin - this is a great chance to add value and provide decision support to the business.
Responsibilities:
• Support the business to drive and improve performance, this includes delivering analysis, drawing conclusions on changes required and presenting these to senior business stakeholders
• Work closely with the commercial team to understand the targets and the strategies and tactics required to develop these into actionable plans
• Ensure we have full understanding of the underlying performance of the business and all variances. A specific focus will be control and explain revenue performance by department, service and client for local and global reporting.
• Work with the business and facilitate business input into the budgeting and forecasting process
• Implement and ensure the budget and forecast process works in a timely way and is fully embedded within the business
• Works with the business to set KPI's for bonus and commission schemes for operations and commercial and to model the possible outcomes to ensure affordability and accurate forecasting, and the subsequent measurement of achievement against agreed KPI's.
• Understand revenue, GM and cost drivers to aid decision-makers in improving revenue, GM and profitability on a customer, product or service (e.g. resource allocation) basis.
• Prepares comprehensive revenue report measuring performance
• Prepares Commercial Contribution Report monitoring performance and works with the commercial teams to drive improvements
• Evaluation of sales pipeline to determine priorities and interventions that could aid conversion rates and future revenue and profitability
• Oversee trend and variance analysis and explain commercial impacts to the business
• Drive commercial awareness across the business by providing trend-based insights and training
Requirements:
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong business partnering and commercial experience
• Proven experience working across non-finance and aiding decision making
